    Payments and billing provider

Payments for Agent Smith are processed by Stripe.

We do not store full payment card details on our own servers. Payment details are handled by Stripe in accordance with its own systems, terms, and security controls.

    Currency and tax

We charge in Swiss francs (CHF) only. Every amount we charge, invoice and refund is a CHF amount, and our receipts and invoices are issued in CHF.

Where the product shows a price in your local currency, that figure is approximate and for information only. We mark it with “≈”. We do not convert your payment ourselves: your bank or card issuer does, at its own rate, and it may add a foreign-transaction fee. The amount on your statement will therefore often differ slightly from the converted figure we displayed.

Before you confirm a payment, the CHF amount you will actually be charged is stated next to the payment button.

VAT. We are not currently registered for Swiss VAT — that obligation begins at CHF 100,000 of annual turnover. So no VAT is added to our prices: the price you see is the total you pay, and our invoices do not state VAT. If we become VAT-liable we will update this notice and show any tax separately before charging it. You remain responsible for any tax that you owe in your own country in respect of your purchase.

    Plans, renewal, upgrades and downgrades

Agent Smith offers a free plan and paid plans. The current plans, their prices and what each includes are shown on our pricing page and in the product; those are the details that govern your purchase.

    • Renewal. Paid plans renew automatically for the same period until you cancel.
    • Annual plans. An annual plan is paid upfront at ten monthly prices for twelve months of access. The Energy included with an annual plan is released to you monthly across the year, not all at once at the start.
    • Upgrades. An upgrade takes effect immediately and is charged on a prorated basis for the remainder of your current period.
    • Downgrades and cancellation. A downgrade or cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid period, not immediately. You keep the plan you paid for until then.

Agent Smith is in beta, so plans, features, limits and pricing may evolve. If a change raises your price or materially reduces what your plan includes, we will tell you first and the change will apply from your next renewal — never in the middle of a period you have already paid for — so you can cancel before it takes effect. The plan details, feature set and billing terms presented to you in the product at the time of purchase control for that purchase, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

    Energy

Work performed by the AI employees is metered in Energy. Your account can hold several kinds: Energy included with your plan each month, Energy you buy as an add-on, Energy rolled over from a previous month, and promotional or cashback Energy we grant you.

Energy is a prepaid unit of access to the Service. It is not money, not a payment instrument, and not electronic money. It cannot be exchanged for cash, transferred to another person or account, or used anywhere outside Agent Smith.

The rules that apply to your balance

    • Purchased Energy does not expire. Energy you have paid for as an add-on stays in your account.
    • Rollover. Up to 50% of the monthly Energy included with your plan may roll forward into the following month if you do not use it.
    • Balance cap. Energy you did not pay for — included, rolled-over, promotional and cashback — is capped in total at 150% of your plan’s monthly allowance. Amounts above that cap do not accumulate. This cap does not apply to Energy you purchased.
    • Promotional and cashback Energy does not expire, and it is used up first — before your monthly included Energy and before any Energy you bought. This is deliberate: it protects the Energy you paid for.
    • If you cancel, the Energy already in your account stays with the account after it moves to the free plan. You can still use it, subject to the free plan’s feature limits and to our fraud controls.

    How much a task costs

Energy consumption is not fixed per task. It depends on which AI models are used, how deep the reasoning goes, which tools are called, and how many retries or review passes a task needs. The same request can cost different amounts on different runs.

Where we publish indicative figures — for example an estimate of how many hours of routine work a monthly allowance corresponds to — those are internal planning benchmarks. They are not a guaranteed quantity of work, not a service level, and not a claim of equivalence to hours of human labour. Actual consumption will vary.

Before a long or expensive task runs, the product is designed to show you a maximum cost and ask for your approval where your settings require it. You control the spending limits and approval thresholds in your workspace.

We do not guarantee that the beta Energy model will remain fixed over time. If you believe Energy was applied incorrectly or you were charged in error, please contact support@agentsmith.ch.

    Refunds

    Payments are generally non-refundable.

However, during beta, we may choose to offer refunds, credits, or billing adjustments on a discretionary, case-by-case basis. Where we do so, the remedy may be issued:

    • back to the original payment method, or
    • as account credits or another reasonable account adjustment

Nothing in this section limits any refund or cancellation rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

    EU consumer withdrawal information

If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA, or another jurisdiction that grants mandatory withdrawal rights for online purchases, you may have a legal right to withdraw from certain purchases within a limited period, usually 14 days.

Important exceptions may apply, including where:

    • digital services have already begun at your request
    • digital content or services are supplied immediately
    • you gave the required consent or acknowledgment at checkout to begin performance before the withdrawal period ends

Where required, Agent Smith will present the relevant disclosures or confirmations during checkout.

    Beta billing notice

Because Agent Smith is still evolving, billing-related features, Energy mechanics, packaging, and in-product purchase flows may change during beta.

Beta testers pay the published plan price. The beta perk is double the plan's included Energy (monthly and daily), not a percentage discount on the subscription.

We aim to handle billing fairly and transparently, but you should expect some aspects of the commercial model to continue evolving as the platform matures.
